Second time lucky!

Manuja, 58 years old, had been in a lot of pain for the past three years. Even with the help of analgesics, Manuja only left the house to go to the doctor.  She used a cane to get around in her home. CAMTA replaced one of Manuja's hips 10 years ago; she now needed a second hip replacement.
Manuja was accepted for surgery by the CAMTA team in 2019.  Just prior to going in for surgery, it was discovered that Manuja had an ulcer on her ankle that was not healing: her surgery was canceled.

after the surgery, you can see the new replacement.

Manuja came to the CAMTA clinic again this year and again was accepted for surgery.  At the clinic, the doctors found that her oxygen saturation levels were low. Not wanting to turn her away again, they decided to find out if they could operate safely.  They arranged for her to undergo several tests and consultations: it was determined that Manuja was fit for surgery.
