The ward is probably the place best remembered by the patients. Here they have the loving smiles of the staff. Here there are chances for conversation while doing the physio exercises. Consuelo Alvarez is originally from Colombia but as a Canadian working with CAMTA she has made a big difference because she relates so well to the patients on a personal level.Back from the operating room with a new hip. From the photos of Jorge being transferred from his stretcher to the bed you can see how everyone cooperates for major activities. The recovery room nurse, Michelle Piwowar brought the patient up the elevator along with lay person Dorothy McGrath. And then together with the CAMTA pediatric and adult nurses plus the Tierra Nueva nurses, Jorge was transfered to his own bed. His spinal anesthetic would still be effective and he can't move by himself.Elsa gets a hand with physio exercises from her sister.Elsa ambulates with the help of her sister and Miluska Sanchez.
