Little Luisa — on the way home!

I said I would let you know how Luisa did.  She's the 21 month old who had a Pemberton osteotomy yesterday.  She was a long time in recovery room because she needed oxygen.  Eventually she was sipping water and at that point she coughed quite vigorously and her oxygen sat jumped up and stayed up.  We consulted a pediatrician from the Tierra Nueva just to be on the safe side and all was well.  Medication for her fever was prescribed on Monday evening but by Tuesday morning she was just a perfect little girl who now will be able to play with the other kids.  She won't be held back by a dysplastic hip once she recovers from the surgery.  (That's also Luisa at the top of the blog with the pediatric staff.)
