Caring on the ward
The ward is where CAMTA staff have the best opportunity to interact with our patients. Time and again, they let us know how happy they are with our care and with the friendliness of our volunteers.
Here are a few photos of what happens on the ward:
Estela Martinez takes her first step on a new hip!
Estela had her hip replaced yesterday and was determined to learn to use the crutches Physios Brenda Corie and Judy Black used a belt around her waist to ensure she couldn't fall. They carefully instructed her on the use of the crutches and then guided her into the hall and then back in a gentle curve to the door and to her chair. Two translators from the Academia Cotapaxi school helped, translated and learned!
