What is a Layperson?

Week 2 Layperson team

By definition, a lay person is “a person without professional or specialized knowledge in a particular subject.”

But who are CAMTA's lay people? In short they are an indispensable part of CAMTA without whom, we could not function. Their duties here range from sterilizing surgical instruments, packaging equipment, sorting laundry, grocery shopping, and making our patients smile!

So what type of people volunteer their time to be a layperson? Business owners, Lawyers, hospital staff, cardiac unit managers, Police officers, Lab and X-ray techs. The depth of talent and experience our teams brings is nothing short of amazing. We love them and all the hard work they do to keep CAMTA rolling smoothly for our patients and staff!!
