Innovation in the OR

Scott Buchanan, our Respiratory Therapist for Week 1, artfully put together a few different pieces of anesthesia equipment to devise a Jackson-Rees ventilation system. This system will help us to deliver oxygen to our patients while they are en route from the OR to the Recovery Room. Because we don't have all the same equipment in Ecuador as we do back home in Canada, the anesthesia team is often required to get creative and improvise.
