Team Two Flight Status : Arrived

No matter how seasoned a traveler is, doing so for a medical mission is a different experience. Much has to be prepared beforehand to ensure a smooth experience, and the mission itself is filled with numerous important tasks. This morning, the team had to haul the luggage containing medical and surgical supplies: 28 bags of up to 50 pounds each, to restock the 45 bags the Team from week one had already brought over. After a 20-hour day of travelling, the Team unpacked before tucking in for a much-needed night of sleep.
Luckily, we had a day off on Saturday, to acclimate to the altitude of the city! In the evening, Team 1 and Team 2 joined together for a gala dinner, along with all our local partners. We celebrated CAMTA's 15 years of successes in Quito, and were entertained by traditional dances from different regions of the country.
