Rio Terrace shakes a leg for CAMTA

On  Jan. 17 a dance with a silent auction was held at the Rio Terrace Community Hall.  Friends and neighbours came together to “Shake a Leg for CAMTA” and raise funds for the mission. The Social Committee Alumni spearheaded  organizing the event with many  helpers, working  to make the night a great success.

Thirst n' Howl, a local band volunteered their musical talents and kept the dance a rockin'!  Choice donated items were auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The sold out crowd listened intently as Peggy Prodor  ( a volunteer with the mission) spoke about  the work that CAMTA is doing in Ecuador.

This enjoyable event raised just over $ 8,000 for CAMTA.

Well done, Peggy and friends!
