Feeding the Team
Have you heard the expression “an army marches on its stomach”? The CAMTA team must be one of the best fed “armies” in the world!
We start our day at the breakfast buffet at the Hotel Radisson – an appetizing spread of fresh (and I mean fresh!) fruit, breads, cereals and hot dishes.

We all look forward to lunch at the hospital. For many years local couple David and Zulay Palacios have fundraised among their family and friends to buy the food for CAMTA lunches. They hire Guido, his wife Marlene to cook and deliver a delicious lunch for over 50 hungry team members every day- usually generous servings of rice, potatoes, meat, salad, soup (with popcorn garnish!) dessert and juice.
And then there's dinner. Logistics expert Matt Moreau arranges dinner for 50 in a different restaurant every night. Tonight, David and Zulay provided dinner – for free – for the team at their family restaurant, American Deli. It was an evening of great food and conversation, ending in a “surprise” birthday for Nurse Faisal Kassam.
