Visiting the Canadian Embassy in Quito
Last Friday morning a group of CAMTA representatives met with the Canadian Ambassador to Ecuador, Pamela O'Donnell, at the Canadian Embassy.
The group touched on areas of importance to all parties:
- The transfer of medical knowledge to our Ecuadorean counterparts
- Partnership with the public sector to detect and initiate early treatment of clubfoot and hip dysplasia in infants in Ecuador
- Communication and promotion of CAMTA successes within Ecuador

Join me in the Operating Room
This is Cesar Criollo Casamen who, at age 66, had his left hip replaced this morning. He used to work as a textile dyer, and now works around the house. His lovely wife Teresa Cueva was waiting for him after his operation, and Cesar looks forward to getting back to Tambillo where his three children and six grandchildren also live. By the end of the day, the physiotherapist team had Cesar on his feet.
