Body Balance Hosts Silent Auction

To help their clients with holiday shopping, and to add support to one of their employees' CAMTA fundraising efforts, Body Balance Therapeutic Massage held a silent auction on their premises for a month before Christmas. 

Owner Sandra Strangman and her mother, Lucie Strangman, put their hearts and souls into helping Myriam Van Diest raise funds for CAMTA. Dozens of gift baskets containing beauty products, food, clothing, exercise equipment and gift certificates were created from donations and displayed in the Body Balance foyer. Massage clients bid on the items throughout the month.

It should be noted that Sandra phoned friends and associates to ask for donatons, posted ads and videos about CAMTA on the clinic website and encouraged clients to bid on items – all while she was at home recovering from a knee replacement! Lucie spent a week helping Myriam fill the gift baskets, wrap them and set up the display. 

The result – $3,890.00 raised for CAMTA.
