Airline ticket – check! ID badge – check! Water bottle – check!

Over 60 Mission 2014 team members met at the home of Marc and Barb Moreau this evening for the final time before our departure next month.

The hockey bags of equipment for each department are pretty much packed and ready to go. Week One volunteers will each pick up a bag when we arrive at the airport and be responsible for that bag as well as personal luggage for the flights to Quito.

The team got detailed information on travel arrangements (we meet at the airport at 3:30AM!), transportation to the Clinic in Quito (chartered buses), setting up the Clinic on Day 1 (with military precision!), how potential surgical patients are assessed, charted and chosen, and what we do at the end of the work day.

When the “business” part of the meeting was over, we received our airline tickets, ID badges and CAMTA water bottles. People signed up for optional tours on our “free” Saturday before the Clinic starts on Sunday. Last stop – make sure that your fundraising commitment has been met.

Team One takes off in three and a half weeks!!
