Smith and Nephew announce second year of major support for CAMTA's patients!
What a great way to start the weekend!!!
This afternoon, Smith and Nephew announced that for the second year they would provide major support to our patient's in Ecuador. The people at Smith and Nephew truly understand the nature of philanthropy. They are providing their prostheses in all the sizes and configurations necessary to enable the patients of the Tierra Nueva Hospital in Quito, Ecuador to return to healthy, productive and painfree lives. These patients will once again be able to work and support their families. All of the members of CAMTA can start their weekend knowing that the success of our Mission 2010 is assured!
Families in Ecuador are typically extended families with often three generations under each roof supported by only one or two wage-earners. Total hip arthroplasties are not commonly available to the average Ecuadorean. We are pleased to be able to take the best equipment and the best prostheses to Ecuador to help our patients.
This weekend, Dr. Ed Masson, assisted by Dr. Ron Henderson will be templating the x-rays of all of the patients proposed for total hip replacement by Dr. Manuel Ordonez of the Tierra Nueva Hospital.
Every member of CAMTA joins me in saying thank you very much to Smith and Nephew for making a HUGE difference in our ability to help our patients in Ecuador.
Smith and Nephew's generous support makes it possible for CAMTA to do all that much MORE to help poor Ecuadoreans walk, work and play!!!
And to Dr. Ed Masson– thanks for all of the effort you have made to keep Smith and Nephew and their Edmonton representative, Mr. Bill Wilkin informed and up to date about our plans.
