Back from Nepal

Here's a message from Drs. Doris Kent and John McIvor.  The two of them have just completed a trip of a life-time!  Now they are fit and hearty and ready to summit the peaks of orthopedic care in Ecuador!  Congratulations, Doris and John!

We have been away and just to dispel rumors that we were lying on the beach in an all inclusive resort, here is a picture of us in front of Mt. Everest.  We are on a peak at 5550 m, a few KM away from Everest.  We decided that 5550 m is plenty high for our aging hearts and lungs. We left this area and did the Cho La pass as well which is kind of in the next valley —hard work! It was a great trip but certain the most strenuous holiday we have ever taken.  In spite of eating lots of food, we both returned weighing 10 lbs less than when we started.
