Today at the warehouse the operating room nurses were…. Well packing of course! I sound like a broken old gramaphone record here. But there is a lot of packing that has to be done. They are smiling in these photos — it is work but there is fun too! In the photo above you see Anne and Heather wrapping hip packs.
And here we have Debbie J. and Eileen carrying out a hockey bag for further sorting. In the background Melissa is selecting supplies from the shelves.
There's lots of paperwork! Heather, Melissa and Anne are keeping right on top of the gloves requirements. They offered to pack the anesthesia sterile gloves. Thanks to the three of you!
It'll be ALL HANDS ON DECK next Saturday, the 26th. That's when we finish off the packing. I'm sure there will be 40 or more people in the warehouse that day. Watch for an update late on Saturday or next Sunday.
Anesthesia will have received the drugs by next Saturday and they'll need sorting and packing safely for transport into the hockey bags. Everybody's hockey bags will get weighed. They can't exceed 50 pounds or else we pay extra. And on a volunteer project relying on the good and generous hearts of our donors we don't want to pay anything extra if we can avoid it.
Thanks!
John
