CAMTA’s Board of Directors plan for the growth and continuity of the organization. They are:
Dr. Marc Moreau, President
Dr. Marc Moreau is a Pediatric Orthopedic surgeon in practice since 1979. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta and a cofounder and Chair of CAMTA.
Dr. Don Dick
Dr. Don Dick specializes in adult joint arthroplasty (repair and replacement of joints) and in general pediatric orthopedics. Located in Edmonton, he is Medical Lead for Orthopedics and Medical Director of the Bone and Joint Program for Alberta Health Services’ Edmonton zone. He is Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta. Dr. Dick also serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Orthopedic Association and is Past-President of the Alberta Orthopedic Society.
Owen Edmondson
Owen Edmondson is retired after a 32-year career as a Financial Executive in the utilities industry. He is a CPA, CGA with a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alberta. Owen has a strong commitment to community service and is currently Chair of the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, a Director of the Alberta Safety Codes Council, the Beverage Container Management Board and several other not-for-profit organizations.
Barb Moreau
Barb Moreau is also a founding member of CAMTA. She trained as an RN but now does the day-to-day administration and organization to ensure that CAMTA is successful.
