Mission 2017 – Day 2

Dustin was treated by CAMTA during its first mission in Quito.  That was 15 years ago. The moniker,”Anniversary Child” respects this special relationship.

 

Dustin is an identical twin who was born with club feet that were repaired when he was one year old.  Throughout the years, Dustin has been followed by CAMTA physicians almost every year.  This year he has developed a foot problem due to the tightening of tissues. This is an uncommon outcome seen in people who have had fcluboot surgery.

 

Dustin also has insufficient growth-hormone production.  

 

Dustin is a happy boy.  He speaks English well enough to act as a translator for his mother, Anita.  He excels in school and because he is bilingual, he has great opportunities ahead of him.
