Planning and Organization is Vital

It is three weeks before departure to Quito.  Everyone feels busy and excited with anticipation of a big adventure to come.  The final meeting before departure was held at the Moreaus' on January 19.  Marc and Barb described, in detail, the guidelines and instructions we are to follow once in Quito. 

At the meeting, stations like the one above were set up for participants to retrieve necessary items such as airline tickets, water bottles, CAMTA t-shirts, pens, and Canada pins that are given to Ecuadorians. As each item is picked up, it is recorded and signed for. 

Dr. Ryan Wright attended, and wrote prescriptions for medications that may be needed while travelling in South America. For busy volunteers this was very convenient.  

All this organizational detail takes time, thought, planning, and experience. Thank you Barb, Marc, Jackie, and Veronica.
