AbbVie goes the extra mile
Once again, CAMTA is grateful for the in-kind support of Abbvie Canada ( formerly Abbot Laboratories). They manufacture Sevoflurane, an inhaled liquid anesthetic agent that we use for our child patients. Because of its highly volatile nature, it's too dangerous to put it in our luggage because the bottles might explode at the low pressures in the aircraft hold. Abbvie not only donate it for free, but make arrangements for it to be delivered safely to Un Canto a la Vida Hospital in Quito ahead of our arrival. We just got word that it's arrived. One less headache for us, one more step towards improving the lives of our most vulnerable little patients. Thank you Dan Bruha and Rob Krakauer from Abbvie for your enduring support!
