Future Leaders Excited about CAMTA

Yesterday three of CAMTA's OR Nurses, Marina, Shannon, and Cori,  gave a presentation on CAMTA and Ecuador to Christina Gaborak's Leadership Group of grade 7 and 8 students at Archbishop Joseph MacNeil school.

A presentation that the three nurses did for OR staff at the University of Alberta Hospital last month caught the attention of nursing student  Lindsay Christianson.  Lindsay's husband Kris, a teacher at AJM, described our work to fellow teacher, Christina Gaborak who was very excited to have her students hear about CAMTA.    This December the Leadership Group is going to sell candy grams for Christmas to help raise money for CAMTA. The enthusiasm the students have for this project is heart-warming.

The three nurses have agreed to come back to the school after the 2013 mission to share with the students stories about how their efforts made a difference.  It's possible that  more students will become involved and that the Leadership Group will continue to support the work CAMTA does.
