Rachael Cheechoo

It is with great enthusiasm that I am returning to be a part of the 2019 CAMTA orthopedic mission to Quito, Ecuador, as a lay person on the team. In the 2015 mission I was the Pediatric recovery room RN for week 1. I have been a Pediatric RN In Pediatric Intensive Care Unit since 1989 to 2005. Then I switched to Pediatric Recovery Room at the Stollery, Edmonton from 2005 to 2011. 2011 - 2015 I was Assistant Head Nurse of the Surgical Suite at Sturgeon Community Hospital, St. Albert. I was Team Leader, Resourse and bedside RN of the PACU. I retired from nursing 3 years ago and I live in beautiful Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. My hobbies include race walking, hiking, coaching soccer, golf, singing, dancing, acting, reading, sewing, rug hooking and whatever else strikes my fancy. I have 3 grown children, 2 step children and 9 beautiful grandchildren.
